UCR ARTSblock is committed to presenting exhibitions, performances, lectures, and film screenings that highlight faculty and student accomplishments. ARTSblock also offers programs initiated by faculty and students that bring distinguished artists to UCR. ARTSblock supports faculty and students by providing performance and exhibition space, technical expertise, publicity, and grant application support. Culver Arts Research Laboratories (CARL) Residencies further provide modest financial support to faculty and students who are awarded CARL grants. All these ARTSblock programs help inform the Riverside and Southern California audience about significant artistic research in the twenty departments that comprise the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Other UCR colleges and departments have also been featured at ARTSblock.
