One of the most distinguished and best-loved violinists of all time, Fritz Kreisler was born in Vienna in 1875 and became a student at the Conservatoire at the age of seven.

Kreisler was much admired for his effortless performance as well as for his vibrato technique applied to fast as well as slow notes.

Kreisler became a United States citizen in 1943. He died in 1962.
