An
Indian Home
Hopi house building emphasizes the sanctity of the domicile and its materials. Early Hopi vocabulary lacked words for "room" or "interior". What was important was the activity that occurred in the space and the objects that were kept there. The pueblo home is made of stacked stone, rocks, adobe and adobe mortar.
