Woodrow Wilson, born on December 29, 1856 in Staunton, Virginia, became the
28th president in 1912 (1913-1921). His vice president for two terms was Thomas
R. Marshall.
The Wilson/Marshall team was challenged by Theodore Roosevelt in 1912 and
Charles E. Hughs in 1916.
