An Encyclopedic set of Kodak Brownie Cameras (continued..)

Additional apparatus and accessories, such as the Brownie developing kit, round out the collection. As the significance of this collection mounted, preservation became a growing concern. The condition of most of the cameras is excellent, and many are still within their original boxed outfits. Eventually, Teague’s cameras became too much of a liability for home storage. He contacted UCR/CMP in 1997 and arranged the generous gift of his entire Brownie collection. Between 1997 and 2005, Teague dedicated hundreds of hours toward organizing museum records so that the Brownie collection could become widely accessible. The Norwood Teague Kodak Brownie Collection is now one of the museum’s premiere holdings. It is readily accessible within the UCR/CMP’s collection vault for onsite visitors with an appointment. In addition, Norwood Teague’s dedication has paved the way for the museum’s unprecedented state-of-the-art virtual presentation of Kodak Brownie Cameras. The searchable web version includes multiple views (including 360-degree QTVR) of one hundred and fifty Box Brownies.
